How It All Began

It all started with one goal: I wanted a truly unique, bespoke portrait of my dog, Kaiser - something that would do him justice and capture his spirit. Nothing I found quite matched what I was looking for, so I made a bold decision: I’d create it myself.

I started taking online lessons, promising myself I’d give it at least 6 to 12 months before attempting anything serious. But just a few weeks in, I couldn’t resist. I picked up my pastels and drew Kaiser. That moment changed everything.

To my surprise (and delight), the finished portrait didn’t just look like him - it felt like him. I realised I could really do this. Just a couple of months later, I submitted a drawing to an international art competition - and won an award for it.

From there, things snowballed. People began reaching out, asking for portraits of their own beloved pets. I took on one commission, then another. Seeing their emotional reactions when they received their artwork was incredibly rewarding. That joy, that connection - it's what made me decide to turn this passion into a business.

Today, I offer commissioned, hand-drawn portraits of the animals you love. I create hyper-realistic pastel portraits, specialising in mainly dogs and horses, but I'm happy to draw any animal. Every piece is carefully hand-drawn with the goal of capturing the unique character and soul of each subject.

Because I know exactly what it means to want a portrait that truly does your companion justice.

Choosing to exhibit at the Scottish Game Fair was an easy decision - it feels like home.

I’ve always loved the country lifestyle. There’s something special about being surrounded by wide open spaces, working dogs, horses, and people who share a deep connection to the land and animals. It’s a way of life that’s grounded, genuine, and full of heart - and that’s exactly the kind of world my artwork lives in.

The Scottish Game Fair brings together people who get it - those who don’t just own dogs or horses, but share a real bond with them. They understand the quiet moments, the loyalty, the unspoken trust. That’s the connection I aim to capture in every portrait I draw.

Being here means meeting others who see their animals not just as pets, but as companions, teammates, and family. It's a chance to connect with people who value quality, tradition, and the kind of craftsmanship that tells a story.

That’s why I’m here - not just to showcase my work, but to celebrate that powerful connection between people and the animals they love.
